Sam Rush
International Chief Operating Officer
Sam Rush, International Chief Operating Officer, is based in our London office and takes responsibility for managing and growing Wasserman’s International growth.
Rush joined Wasserman following the acquisition of the SFX Sports Group in 2006 and manages an international business which includes the careers of athletes including Steven Gerrard, Michael Owen, Alan Shearer, Jack Wilshere, and Mark Cavendish; brands such as Castrol, Yahoo!, Proctor & Gamble and American Express; and whose sales team closed the naming rights for stadiums including the Aviva and the Emirates.
Prior to joining Wasserman, Rush ran the European business of SFX, building it into a market leader. Before that he was responsible for the European legal and business affairs of Clear Channel Entertainment and was a solicitor with law firms Bird & Bird and SJ Berwin, specializing in sport and entertainment law.
Rush is a director and treasurer of the British Association for Sport and Law and Vice Chairman of the Association of Football Agents. Additionally, Rush has been listed as one of the most influential individuals in Sport in the ‘Times Power 100’ , Sport Business ‘World Leading Agents’ and Sport Business ‘World Leading Lawyers’.
Rush played professional rugby for Saracens, is a Scholar and Graduate of Mansfield College, Oxford and was a double blue in Rugby Union and Rugby League.
